Boreal Brewing Co.
An atmospheric, brand-forward site for a Northern Ontario craft brewery. Built to showcase the beer lineup, drive taproom foot traffic, and fill event nights.
The Challenge
Craft breweries live and die by their brand. Most brewery websites are afterthoughts — a logo slapped on a Squarespace template with an out-of-date tap list. The goal was to create an experience that feels as intentional as the beer itself, while actually driving visits and online orders.

What Makes It Work
Live Tap List
A CMS-managed beer menu that staff can update in seconds when kegs rotate. Displays ABV, style, tasting notes, and availability — no developer needed.
Event Engine
Recurring and one-off events with automatic schema markup for Google. Trivia nights, live music, and brewery tours all get their own SEO-friendly entries.
Brand Atmosphere
Dark, warm design that mirrors the taproom experience. Typography, colour, and photography work together to communicate craft and authenticity before a single word is read.
How We Built It
Brand Immersion
Spent time understanding the brewery's voice — Northern, unpretentious, quality-obsessed. Every design decision reflects that identity.
Conversion Mapping
Mapped the two key goals: get people into the taproom, and get them ordering online. Every page funnels toward one or both.
Content Strategy
Built a tap list and events system that's dead simple to update. If it's hard to maintain, it won't get maintained — and stale content kills credibility.
Local SEO
Schema markup for Brewery, Event, and LocalBusiness types. Optimized for 'craft beer Sault Ste. Marie' and related searches.
